Yosemite Trip 2008

We went to Yosemite again this year. We went the Sunday to Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I don't know if this is going to be a tradition for us or just an enjoyable way to spend the time at the first of the week during our Thanksgiving trip to California.

The first day was beautiful and sunny. We stumble upon the San Jose Family Camp. The summer before Susette's senior year in high school, she was a camp councilor there. She was excited to see it so we stopped and took a look around. She wanted to explore more, but I was afraid that we might get busted for trespassing or at least yelled at. (it never happened - I am just paranoid)

We then stopped at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. This is the main water supply for San Francisco. Amazing to think how far the water needs to travel before San Franciscans shower in it. Nice place and kind of sad as it was much like a smaller version of Yosemite Valley until they built the dam. Go here to see the before and after pictures.

Susette has a Blog

My wife, Susette, has a blog. She started it yesterday and I must say, I am excited. Her blog is http://damrondirt-susette.blogspot.com/

Blogging is kind of interesting to me in that I think of all this good stuff to write, but then when I sit down and type, nothing comes.

15th Anniversary

Susette and I went to Chicago and Niagara Falls in May for our 15th anniversay. It was a blast; a whole week alone. Thanks to my parents for coming out to wathc the kids for us. Here we are at the above the train station. It was a little chilly, but not too bad. We saw "Wicked" and did the tourist thing. At first, I was wondering what there would be to do there, but found that we didn't spend enough time in Chicago

New Google Stuff

Today I downloaded the new browser from Google called Chrome.  So far, not complaints.  I will also try to add more stuff to this blog as I want to figure it out.  So, This will be more of a sand box until I can become as good a blogger (content wise) as Remi Krupp and Janay Hunt.  (Notice how the girls know the most about this kind of stuff)

My first picture added to my blog:

Long Time

Making and entry once a year makes no sense and I am surprised that Google kept the blog as long without any activity.

I still enjoy the Readers Digest, by the way.

This will just be ramblings as I was working with Gavin on his homework and he needed to write a story about his snowman. I told him just write what comes to your mind. Most writers just write and let it flow. (I learned that from "Finding Forrester"). So, I am going just write.

And here is where the block comes in. Susette is playing our new electronic piano; learning Pachabells Canon in D. Corrine is in the other room singing her ABC's. It's funny how I don't watch TV as much as I used to. I have the writers strike to thank for that. Since I don't watch as much, I have noticed how more relaxed I am.

I am sick right now and my head feels as it might explode. I went to work this morning anyway becuase my VPN (Virtual Private Network) was not connecting, so I could not work from home. I have noticed that as an adult with more responsibilities, I will push myself more when sick. If I were in school (high school and below) I would take full advantage and stay at home.

Well, that is enough rambling for now. Not that there was a lot of information. Just had to write.
